Westlake Ace signed an agreement to build a new store location in the Monticello Shopping Center in Shawnee, Kansas.
The store is set to open in late 2025 or early 2026 and will feature 12,500 square feet of retail space. Inside the location, multiple specialty departments will be included with store-within-a-store concepts with industry-leading brands.
“Westlake Ace Hardware has been part of the greater Kansas City community for nearly 50 years. This is our home, so it’s always exciting to open a new store here,” says Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings, the parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware. “We look forward to bringing a new shopping experience to our Shawnee-area customers and showcasing how we live the Ace Helpful Promise daily through reliable service, helpful advice and the products our customers need to get their projects done right.”
Westlake Ace Hardware currently owns and operates 30 locations in the greater Kansas City metro area and a 29,944-square-foot fulfillment center for the Westlake Commercial business-to-business sales division.
A soft opening for the store is expected in late 2025, or early 2026.
