The owners of Rand’s Hardware in Plymouth, New Hampshire, have agreed to sell their store to The Aubuchon Company and will operate under the name Rand’s Ace Hardware following the acquisition on March 31.
“Rand’s Hardware has been a mainstay in Plymouth since 1908—the same year my great-grandfather founded The Aubuchon Company,” says William E. Aubuchon, president and CEO. “From the beginning, our companies have shared the same heritage serving small-town America, and we couldn’t be more honored to continue this legacy, ensuring that Rand’s remains a trusted resource for the Plymouth community for years to come.”
Steve Rand and Glenn Dion are co-owners of Rand’s Hardware. This year marks Rand’s 56th year in the industry.
“The time has arrived to pass the torch to another capable, family-owned hardware business with the reputation and strength to maintain and improve Rand’s traditions of service and convenience,” Rand says. “As long as I’ve been in the business, Aubuchon has earned my respect as a competitor and fellow operator.
