Nation’s Best announced the promotion of Kim Peffley to chief operating officer, effective April 12. Peffley previously served as regional vice president of the company’s North Region, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the independent home improvement industry.
During her previous role, she drove significant improvement in operational performance, strengthened leadership capabilities and advanced consistency across stores in her region.
Throughout her career, Peffley has built a reputation for combining operational discipline with a strong focus on people development.

Before joining Nation’s Best, Peffley held leadership roles across multi-store retail operations and served as a consultant with the North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA), advising independent retailers nationwide on operational efficiency, leadership development and profitability. She is also widely recognized in the industry for her thought leadership, including her “Ask Kim” advisory column and her recent recognition with the NHS How Women Rise: Leadership Excellence Award.
In her new role as chief operating officer, Peffley will oversee operations across Nation’s Best, focusing on driving consistency, strengthening leadership capability and positioning the company for continued growth.
