Paint color trends for 2022 are here and ready to be shared with your customers. Homeowners continued to update their spaces throughout 2021, and heading into a new year, painting projects show no signs of slowing down. According to Statista, production of paints and coatings in the United States is expected to top 1.42 million gallons in 2022.
Gray-green shades will dominate color schemes this year, with several gray-green colors named as Colors of the Year in this year’s crop from major paint manufacturers. Subtle pinks and blues also made the list, as homeowners look to transform their rooms into relaxing, soothing and pretty spaces.
Several bold shades were included as well, ideal for accent walls, furniture and rooms where homeowners want to make a statement. Several manufacturers opted to choose color palettes rather than awarding just one color the Color of the Year honor.
