The Kansas Chamber of Commerce recently presented Blish-Mize with its 2026 Ad Astra Award. Announced at the chamber’s annual dinner in March, this award recognizes Kansas businesses whose leadership, innovation and impact have helped move the state forward.
“We are honored to have received the Kansas Chamber’s Ad Astra Award. For more than 150 years, Blish-Mize has been proud to call Kansas home, and this recognition reflects the dedication of our employees, customers and vendor partners who make our work possible,” says Jonathan Mize, Blish-Mize chairman and CEO.
For more than 150 years, Blish-Mize has been a Kansas success story, growing from its roots in Atchison into a trusted partner for independent retailers across the region while remaining proudly family-owned and Kansas-based, the Chamber says in a statement.
“Blish Mize exemplifies the spirit of Ad Astra through its long-standing leadership, advocacy and investment in Kansas’ future,” says Eric Stafford, Kansas Chamber president and CEO. “The company’s commitment to the Chamber and to pro-growth policy has helped strengthen our work on behalf of Kansas businesses.”
