Werner Co, a ladder, climbing and fall protection product manufacturer, is supporting the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and its National Safety Stand-Down initiative by hosting safety training events across the country throughout May.
“Every year, Safety Stand-Down events provide an opportunity for employers and workers to reinforce the importance of fall prevention,” says Chad Lingerfelt, Werner director of training and job site safety and security (JSS). “We are committed to equipping job sites with the knowledge, resources and tools they need to work confidently and return home safely.”
During the 11th annual National Safety Stand-Down initiative, which runs from May 5-9, workplaces are encouraged to proactively discuss the importance of safety and best practices to keep employees safe. Werner will offer in-person training, virtual education and on-demand resources in the future.
Werner is organizing more than 750 safety trainings across the country, led by the Werner JSS team. These training events will reach more than 60,000 construction and industry professionals, from general contractors to safety professionals to tradespeople. Werner’s safety programming is open to anyone committed to safer workplaces.
Werner will host educational Webinars and Tech Talks—available in both English and Spanish—to accommodate schedules and language preferences. These virtual sessions are open to industry professionals, including safety directors and end-users.
