What is your proudest moment as part of the independent channel?
My proudest moment was being named a North American Hardware and Paint Association Young Retailer of the Year in 2021. It was a goal I had since my career began in 2008.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love solving problems of all kinds.
What is the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever been given?
Always remember that we are in the people business, not the hardware business.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a child, I wanted to drive rally cars.
What do you do for fun when you’re not working?
My favorite pastime is riding my Harley-Davidson motorcycles. I also enjoy fixing and building anything. I get asked to help friends with their DIY projects a lot. I like anything that challenges me.
What have you enjoyed the most in your relationship with NHPA?
Getting to know the people at NHPA and always being able to have an easy discussion about an industry we’re all passionate about.
