In celebration of the expansion of its location in Eunice, Louisiana, Stine Home + Yard hosted a grand opening event in July 2024, welcoming the community to see the store’s new offerings.
The chamber of commerce led the ribbon cutting and 2×4 sawing that officially welcomed customers into the store. Helping Hands Ministry cooked and served free hot dogs and popcorn, and Stine employees served cake and drinks to attendees. Attendees had the chance to win hourly door prizes on both Friday and Saturday, with one winner receiving the grand prize, a Hessaire Portable Evaporative Cooler in popular Louisiana State University purple and gold colors.
Stine president Wendy Stine says Stine Home + Yard acquired the assets of Fruge Lumber in Eunice in August 2023. The interior of the store was completely reset in order to expand inventory to serve DIY customers along with professionals and included adding nearly 20,000 new product offerings and three new departments: appliances, grilling and Stihl outdoor power equipment.
“We’re excited to expand our offerings to customers in the Eunice area,” says Jenny Stine, director of merchandising. “Customers can now shop for major appliances for their kitchen and laundry room, as well as grills for outdoor cooking.”
