McCoy’s Building Supply rang in the spring season with an Easter-themed event, bringing in families for a day of creativity and community.
During the store’s “Hop To It” event, children and their families were invited into McCoy’s store locations on a Saturday to decorate white 1-gallon buckets with spring stickers and colorful markers.
All McCoy’s locations held this event and added their own unique spins, like adding areas for photo opportunities, game areas, coloring sheets, snacks and drinks. The idea for this event was inspired by the store’s Decorate-a-Bucket event held during the Halloween season.
“This spring event was an extension of that idea,” says MJ Toops, senior communications specialist at McCoy’s Building Supply. “Last year during the spring, our stores hosted a Woodblock Bunny craft event.”
While these family events and grand opening celebrations are the only events held inside McCoy’s stores, all locations are actively involved in their communities. McCoy’s sponsors various local organizations in the area, from food pantries to school districts to veterans programs, and hosts booths at local events.
