Randy Rusk Named Executive Director of the Do it Best Foundation

Do it Best announced the appointment of Randy Rusk as the new executive director of the Do it Best Foundation, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Rusk will focus on expanding the foundation’s impact and presence in the communities it serves.

Most recently, Rusk served as community affairs manager for Do it Best, where he spearheaded several philanthropic initiatives for the company and the Foundation.

“Randy is a communications veteran who has worked in various roles at Do it Best for over 30 years, making significant impacts in each position,” says Nick Talarico, executive vice president of sales and marketing and foundation board chair. “His dedication and community-minded approach make him an incredible asset to our team, and we’re excited to see the continued growth and success of the Do it Best Foundation under his leadership.”

Rusk recently led the foundation’s annual Fore the Cause charity golf event, which raised over $1 million for community nonprofit initiatives. To date, the foundation has donated to 114 organizations in Fort Wayne and communities of Do it Best’s eight warehouses including Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina and Texas.

As Rusk steps into his new role, he encourages Do it Best community members and the public to get involved.

“We’ll soon be relaunching our website with our refined funding initiatives,” he says. “It’s also where we’ll announce a major community fundraising event and provide easier opportunities to pledge financial support.”
