PPG Announces Executive Appointments

PPG announced multiple leadership appointments as the company continues to focus on driving and delivering on its growth strategy.

Tom Maziarz, current PPG vice president of automotive refinish Americas, will become vice president of traffic solutions, effective Dec. 1. Maziarz will replace Ed Baiden, who currently leads PPG’s traffic solutions business and has announced that he will pursue opportunities outside of PPG.

Maziarz joined PPG’s architectural coatings business in 1993 as a sales representative and served in a variety of sales and leadership roles within the business. He was named vice president of stores and dealers in 2013.

Denise Lu, current general manager of industrial will become vice president of packaging coatings. Lu was appointed to her current role in 2022. Previously, she was a member of the leadership team for PPG’s automotive refinish business, where she served as global director, marketing, beginning in 2016.

Rodolfo Ramirez, current vice president of packaging coatings, will become the vice president of refinish Americas, effective Jan. 1. Ramirez joined PPG in 2003 in the automotive OEM business as a technical service supervisor in Mexico.

Juliane Hefel, current vice president of specialty coatings and materials (SCM), has been appointed senior vice president of industrial coatings in addition to her strategic and operational leadership of the global SCM business.

Xiaobing Nie, current vice president of industrial coatings, China and global consumer products and president of PPG Asia Pacific, will expand her leadership responsibilities with industrial coatings to now include all of Asia Pacific.
