Dutch Boy Paints Announces 2025 Color of the Year

Ohio-based paint manufacturer Dutch Boy Paints announced Mapped Blue as its 2025 Color of the Year. Mapped Blue is a medium-tone with slight yellow undertones and complements a wide range of colors and design aesthetics. Mapped Blue is available in both interior and exterior

“Our 2025 Color of the Year, Mapped Blue, is more than just a trend: it’s a reflection of changing consumer values,” says Lisbeth Parada, Dutch Boy Paints color marketing manager. “We’re seeing a significant shift, particularly among Millennials and Gen Zs, toward products that offer durability, functionality and timeless aesthetics. Mapped Blue answers this call, providing a classic yet modern charm that can adapt to various design styles and stand the test of time.”

In addition to its color of the year, Dutch Boy Paints also released three color trend palettes for 2025, with Mapped Blue as the centerpiece for each palette.

Alongside this announcement, Dutch Boy Paints has also released its full Color Trends Forecast for 2025, which aims to make the painting experience easier for homeowners by identifying industry trends with colors and color palettes.
