Do it Best Names New Directors of Operations

Do it Best recently announced the appointment of Matt Loprest and Tim Pieper as directors of operations for the company, following the promotions of Ty Sordelet to Do it Best vice president of logistics and Steve Rose to True Value vice president of distribution in December.

“Bringing both Matt and Tim on board strengthens our logistics team with their exceptional expertise and leadership,” Sordelet says. “Their diverse backgrounds and proven track records in logistics operations will enhance our ability to deliver best-in-class supply chain solutions for our members.”

Loprest, previously an assistant general manager at Amazon, brings extensive leadership experience in logistics, operations management and supply chain optimization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Matt to our team,” Sordelet says. “His extensive experience in logistics operations, combined with his leadership background and strategic mindset, makes him the ideal choice to enhance our distribution capabilities. We look forward to the impact he will have on strengthening our supply chain and ensuring the best possible service to our members.”

Pieper brings over 20 years of experience in managerial roles to Do it Best, with expertise in inventory control, warehouse management, customer service, regulatory compliance and supply chain optimization. He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and has led many cost-saving initiatives throughout his career.

“Tim brings a wealth of experience and operational expertise to our team,” Sordelet says. “His track record of maintaining a 99.75% inventory accuracy rate at a large-scale distribution center demonstrates his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence. His leadership in logistics and distribution will further strengthen our ability to deliver top-tier service and efficiency to our members.”
