2025 NAHB International Builders’ Show Hits Record Attendance, New Leadership Elected

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) hosted more than 81,000 builders, remodelers, developers and other home building professionals at this year’s International Builders’ Show, making this show the largest in 17 years.

The show took place in Las Vegas from Feb. 25-27. Over 1,800 exhibitors, including 750 new exhibitors, participated in the show, spanning over 728,000 square feet at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“This year’s show surpassed our high expectations for attendance, exhibit space and educational opportunities,” says Geoff Cassidy, NAHB chief revenue officer. “Attendees saw the latest trends in home technology and resilience and the latest advancements in building techniques.”

Show participants attended educational sessions led by industry experts, visited two demo zones featuring live demonstrations of trending topics in residential construction and participated in numerous networking events.

“There were a lot more people here this year, and they really did a good job of organizing like-vendors together to make it easier to check out the same kind of products,” says Josh Deal, a home builder at JNJ Enterprises in McKinney, Texas.

2025 was also the 12th anniversary of Design & Construction Week (DCW), the co-location of the International Builders’ Show and the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, drawing in over 124,000 attendees.

NAHB Elects Leadership for 2025

Members of NAHB also recently elected four senior officers to top leadership positions at the end of this year’s show.

Lexington, North Carolina, native Buddy Hughes was named NAHB’s chairman of the board, bringing over 45 years of home building experience.

Bill Owens of Worthington, Ohio, was elected as first vice chairman of the board, and Bob Peterson of Fort Collins, Colorado, was named second vice chairman of the board.

Gary Campbell was named as third vice chairman of the board and Carl Harris continues to be the 2025 immediate past chairman for NAHB.

Jim Tobin remains as president and chief executive officer of NAHB.
