Do it Best Corp. Evaluates New Products at Buying Day Event

Do it Best Corp. hosted an Open Buying Day on Dec. 2, welcoming prospective domestic and international vendors to the co-op’s world headquarters, according to a press release.

The event enabled Do it Best Corp. merchandise managers to meet one-on-one with prospective vendors interested in doing business with the co-op and its member-owners. The products presented as part of this year’s Open Buying Day covered all product categories, from housewares to tools.

“Discovering new vendors and products is an important part of our goal in helping our members grow,” says Steve Markley, vice president of merchandising for Do it Best Corp. “Our Open Buying Day event is an outstanding opportunity for our merchandising team to meet with potential new vendors, learn more about their products and explore innovative product opportunities for our members.”

The Open Buying Day was held in partnership with the Presidents Council, an organization devoted to the development of the home improvement and home building industries.
