Gillman Home Center Replaces Stolen Tools

When all of the tools in the Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity‘s van were stolen, Gillman Home Center stepped up to help replace the stolen tools so the organization could continue providing a much-needed service in the area. Gillman Home Center has 16 locations in Indiana and Ohio, partnered with Milwaukee Tool to make the donation.
“We’re forever grateful for this generosity,” says Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity CEO Lindsey Arthur. “As nonprofits, we face numerous challenges in our work, but it’s a blessing to have partners who care so deeply for our mission and the families we serve. Having organizations like Gillman Home Center and Milwaukee come through for us is so uplifting, and it has allowed us to continue our work without even a brief slow down.”

The Gillman Home Center team presented the tools and a check to the Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity team during an event at their Muncie location. The event also featured Milwaukee tool demonstrations, a cookout and opportunities for community members to meet the local Habitat for Humanity team.

“Supporting the Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity and the Muncie community is important to me,” says COO Curtis Gillman. “As a Ball State University alum, I am proud to have a Gillman Home Center location here in Muncie. Helping to rebuild the community after something like this means a lot to me, and I encourage other businesses to get involved with local nonprofits in any way they can. It doesn’t have to be a full set of tools—just donating your time to help a project goes a long way.”
