Garrett Ace Hardware Unveils Major Remodel, Enhancing In-Store Experience

A ribbon-cutting ceremony ushered in customers to Garrett Ace Hardware’s newly remodeled store location in Windsor, California, celebrating the newly updated store layout and retail environment. The store, joined by the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, City Council and the mayor of Windsor, invited the community to attend the event.

The four-month project added 2,500 square feet of retail space designed specifically to better serve customers, offering a more seamless shopping experience and community-oriented atmosphere. The remodel, representing the first major update for the store in 15 years, included adding a flexible front-of-store area for rotating seasonal displays, a large outdoor living section, a comprehensive “Helpful Hub” to centralize services like key cutting and screen repair and an expanded power tool department.

“This remodel is about more than adding shelf space; it’s about deepening our commitment to being the most helpful resource for our neighbors and trade partners,” says Jordan Matteri, Garrett Hardware co-owner and head of marketing. “By elevating the shopping experience with vibrant, more organized departments and an expanded service shop, we are ensuring that Garrett remains a trusted destination where community relationships and expert service come first.”

This remodel bridges the experience between Garrett’s two stores, offering a more convenient shopping experience for customers in Windsor and the surrounding community.
