Waters True Value is relocating in Emporia, Kansas. The opening date is scheduled for early 2015.
“We are excited to begin construction in the near future to upgrade the building,” said Mark Shook, Waters True Value store manager to local newspaper The Emporia Gazette. “We will take what has been an eyesore for the past ten years and turn it into something the community can be proud of.”
Waters will be moving to a new 40,000-square-foot facility, doubling the store’s size, product assortment, and staff. The new Emporia location will be the largest Waters True Value store in the state.
“We look forward to expanding our departments and being able to better serve the community,” Shook said. “Some of the places you will see improvements are the rental and service department, gifts and housewares, lawn and garden center, tools, hardware, and much more plumbing and electrical.”
“We’re glad to have the opportunity to invest more into Emporia and we want to be the first choice for home improvement in the community,” said Scott Waters, Waters True Value vice president. “We’ve had a great relationship with Emporia for nearly 25 years and look forward to many more.”
