Bill’s Ace Hardware in Osceola, Wisconsin is celebrating 30 years in business. The company plans to celebrate by hosting a community service event.
According to the owners owners Bill and Jill Chantelois, the event is a way to give back to the people from Minnesota and Wisconsin who have supported them for the last three decades.
“I never would have been able to keep my doors open had it not been for my loyal customers from Osceola,” Bill Chantelois told local newspaper The Sun. “They not only shop here, but they keep coming back to shop here even though the big box stores might offer them some things that I just can’t compete with. It is that attitude that made me fall in love with this area and these people. They support their own.”
Chantelois has been operating in Osceola since 1984, but has been in the business since ’77. His father was a bar man and decided that he wanted to give his children a different opportunity. So, the family bought a hardware store and Bill began to learn the trade. Through a store in Circle Pines, Minn. and several in Idaho, he mastered his knowledge of the hardware business. Upon landing in Osceola, he was ready to share the breadth of his experience with the local community.
