Westlake Ace Expands in Nebraska

Westlake Ace Hardware announced it will acquire four additional Q.P. Ace Hardware stores in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 2017, Westlake Ace acquired two Q.P. Ace stores in Omaha and Ralston. The companies anticipate the acquisition of the four Lincoln stores will be completed on Dec. 28, 2020. Westlake Ace currently owns 13 locations in Nebraska.

According to Westlake Ace, it will be a seamless transition of ownership. The Lincoln Q.P. Ace stores will be re-branded as Westlake Ace but will retain management, store personnel and the current product mix.

“We are excited to expand in Nebraska and look forward to continuing Q.P. Ace Hardware’s outstanding tradition of customer and community service,” says Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware.

“This acquisition is the latest example of the positive upward trajectory Westlake Ace Hardware has been on for the past several years. Most of all, it gives us additional opportunities to show our neighbors and customers in Lincoln how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and products to help them get their projects done right,” Jeffries says.

“It has been our sincere pleasure to serve the Lincoln community for the last 53 years. Most of all, we are proud of the dedicated employees who have represented Q.P. Ace with the highest level of professionalism through the years,” say Doug and Lisa Long, owners of Q.P. Ace Hardware.

“We have always been honored to be part of the Ace family and are confident Westlake Ace will continue to provide employment opportunities for our staff and maintain our tradition of outstanding customer service. We will miss the wonderful people of Q.P., but know their future is in good hands,” the Longs say.

Last month, Westlake Ace announced it would open a new store in Kansas City. The company also recently promoted Tony Jones to vice president of finance and controller.

Westlake currently owns and operates 140 stores in 12 states:
• California (Ace Hardware of Chico, Fresno, La Crescenta, Mountain View, Pinole, South Pasadena,
Thousand Oaks, Turlock, Van Nuys, West LA, and Woodland)
• Illinois (Buikema’s Ace Hardware)
• Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico (Westlake Ace Hardware)
