Since announcing the appointment of Chad Ruth as president and CEO in March, United Hardware has made additional personnel promotions designed to enhance the leadership team and provide continued support to the company and its retailers.
Dwight Samson has been promoted to vice president of warehouse operations and logistics and will operate United Hardware’s distribution center, located in Milbank, South Dakota. Samson started his career at the company as the director of warehouse operations in 2015. Since then, he has made significant improvements in day-to-day operations and leverages the warehouse management team to provide support to dealers. He is the driving force for investments in equipment and facility improvements, as well as strong support for safety as he leads the warehouse team and provides continuous improvements.
To drive additional participation and knowledge in marketing programs, as well as facilitate buying markets and enhance communications internally and externally, Lisa Makowski has been promoted to vice president of marketing and customer experience. Makowski began her career at United Hardware in 2010 as a marketing coordinator. Since then, she has progressed her knowledge and experience within the marketing team into various roles of supervisor and manager before being promoted in 2022 to director of brand and member marketing. In Makowski’s new role as vice president, she will continue to provide support to the leadership team and have oversight in the marketing, e-commerce and customer service departments. Additionally, the marketing team is growing its partnership with the corporate and warehouse human resources team to enhance employee engagement and build a high-performance culture.
United Hardware’s leadership team also promoted Nick Worrell to senior insights manager. Throughout Worrell’s 20-year career at the company, he has gained valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the organization. Worrell’s new role will expand his focus to many areas of the organization to ensure systems and data processes are coordinated and tested for successful implementation to improve business efficiency. He will also continue to provide support analytics and reporting for the organization to enable fact-based decisions that yield to increased sales revenue for retailers and the organization.
“We are fortunate to have these talented individuals contributing daily to our dealers, employees and leadership team,” president and CEO Chad Ruth says. “I am confident these individuals will continue to drive success at United Hardware.”
