Tractor Supply Company released its financial results for the third quarter of 2025.
Net sales increased 7.2% to a record $3.72 billion for the quarter. Comparable store sales increased 3.9%. The improvement reflects a 2.7% rise in average transaction count and a 1.2% increase in average ticket.
The increase in net sales was driven primarily by the growth in comparable store sales, new store openings and the contribution from Allivet. Although comparable store sales increased 3.9% from the previous quarter, this represents a 0.2% decrease year over year.
The company opened 29 new Tractor Supply stores and closed one Petsense by Tractor Supply store in the third quarter of 2025.
“Our third quarter results largely mirrored the broader U.S. consumer environment,” says Hal Lawton, Tractor Supply Company president and CEO. “We saw a strong start to the quarter, with spending trends moderating in September. This pattern aligned with what we observed across the retail landscape.”
Tractor Supply Company also updated its Fiscal 2025 Financial Outlook:
- Net Sales increase of 4.6% to 5.6% (Previously 4% to 8%)
- Comparable store sales increase of 1.4% to 2.4% (Previously 0% to 4%)
