Tractor Supply Company recently announced the grand opening of its 11th distribution center, located in Nampa, Idaho. Serving as the strategic “Gateway to the Pacific Northwest,” the 865,000-square-foot facility represents an investment of more than $200 million in Canyon County that will bring 500 full-time careers to the region.
“As more people look to embrace the ‘Out Here Lifestyle’ and we continue to open new stores, this distribution center will be vital to get our customers the products they want and need,” says Craig Ledbetter, chief supply chain officer at Tractor Supply. “Our distribution centers play a critical role in supporting our Team Members, stores and customers. The Nampa facility represents a major investment to help our team work safer and more efficiently, setting a new standard for how products move through our supply chain to deliver the legendary service our customers have come to expect.”
Built on a 116-acre site in Canyon County, the facility features 80 truck docks designed to optimize inbound and outbound traffic flow. Spanning 865,000 square feet, the Nampa distribution center will immediately serve 123 stores across nine states in its first year, with infrastructure designed to scale to serve more than 200 stores at full operational capacity.
Ledbetter joined Nampa Mayor Darl Bruner and director of Idaho department of commerce Tom Kealey along with Tractor Supply employees and other state and local representatives, for a grand opening celebration.
“On behalf of the City of Nampa, I am thrilled to welcome Tractor Supply Company to our growing community,” says Mayor Bruner. “Becoming the home to Tractor Supply’s 11th distribution center is a major economic milestone for our city and an incredible opportunity for our local workforce. We are looking forward to a long, successful partnership.”
The Nampa distribution center is the first facility in the Tractor Supply network to implement KNAPP OSR/ASRS (automated storage and retrieval system) technology, which is fully integrated across the operations of the distribution center, including automatic conveying systems to store, sequence and move products safely and more efficiently. Additionally, all Nampa team leaders are trained in AI fundamentals, and the site uses a dedicated AI innovation team to apply practical artificial intelligence to operational needs.
Designed specifically to meet LEED Silver standards, the site incorporates high-efficiency water practices, EV charging stations, low-energy lighting, advanced stormwater management and a comprehensive recycling program. Additionally, the facility’s 125 KNAPP units operate entirely on lithium-ion battery power.
Construction on the facility began in December 2024, and the building was completed in July 2026. Inventory receiving began in August 2026, and outbound shipping will officially launch in October.
