Sunshine Ace Hardware raised over $21,000 to support children’s healthcare and hospitals in southern Florida through their annual Spring Round Up.
During the month of April, customers at Sunshine Ace Hardware stores in Manatee county had the option to round up their purchases or choose a specific dollar amount to donate at check-out.
Donations made in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties supported Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida through the Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization that helps with the cost of patient services. Donations from Pinellas County and Crowder Bros. in Manatee County supported John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.
“The Spring Round Up is our final fundraising event before the summer, so we always want to make a strong push because children’s hospitals need year-round support from the community,” Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware, says. “The support from fundraising initiatives like the Spring Round Up go a long way toward improving pediatric care in our region and supporting families who need assistance.”
