PRO Group, Inc., has hired a new merchandising manager.
The company hired Jeff Styerwalt, whose responsibilities include managing the housewares, lawn and garden, paint and sundries and commodities categories.
Prior to joining PRO Group, Styerwalt worked at PRO Build, where he was a senior buyer who purchased building material products for 110 lumber yards. He has had an extensive career working with and supporting independent lumber retailers across the U.S. through companies such as Temple Inland, Boise Cascade and MacMillan Bloedel.
“I am very excited to join the PRO team,” Styerwalt says. “My career has been focused on helping independents succeed by partnering with manufacturers to provide value added products and programs. I am looking forward to continuing to fight for the success of independent retailers and wholesalers.”
Styerwalt will begin to travel to a few distributor and industry events in the coming weeks and will be at the annual DA/PRO Group Executive Planning Conference, which is slated for Nov. 17 -19 in Marco Island, Florida.
“Jeff will be a great asset to the PRO Merchandising team,” according to director of merchandising Brendan Sullivan. “His years of experience in purchasing, marketing and sales to independent retail lumberyards make Jeff a great addition to PRO. Jeff’s personality and skill set will be a great fit for the culture at PRO Group.”
Styerwalt is originally from Peoria, Illinois, and graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, after studying business administration and Spanish.
PRO Group, Inc., is a multidivisional international merchandising and marketing organization with corporate headquarters in Denver.
