Phoenix International, a freight forwarder partner of Do it Best Group, recently brought its team and family members together for a community cleanup near its corporate headquarters in Itasca, Illinois.
As part of the effort, Phoenix International purchased cleanup supplies from Wannemaker’s Home & Garden in Downers Grove, Illinois, a Do it Best member-owned store location. The supplies were used to help revive a local wooded area near walking paths, workplaces and a nearby daycare.
“We’re grateful to Phoenix International for including a member store in this meaningful community initiative,” says Ken Sorg, vice president of supply chain at Do it Best Group. “This project reflects the kind of partnership we value, one rooted in service, local connection and a shared commitment to making a positive difference.”
The clean-up brought together Phoenix International employees and family members for a hands-on service project designed to strengthen team connections while improving the area where many of its employees work each day.
