Last week, NRHA president and CEO, Bill Lee, hosted the “BIG Group” roundtable, a gathering of retailer CEOs who have been meeting once a year since 1966. During the meetings, retailers share new ideas and discuss current happenings in their businesses.
As part of the three-day event, Lee and the group visited Friedman’s Home Improvement in Petaluma, California. Barry Friedman is a member of the BIG Group meeting and is the CEO of the store. The new home center was recently built and, according to Lee, is one of the country’s most innovative and beautiful stores he has seen.
“Any independent retailer who is visiting California should make a stop in Petaluma and take a walk through the store,” Lee says. “A visit to the store will provide anyone with a wealth of merchandising and store design inspiration and ideas.”
