Making A Grander Home Entrance

Homeowners who update the front entrances to their houses often start the projects because a repair is necessary, the Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI) reports. However, homeowners choose the materials they use for their entryway updates based on how attractive the products look.

The data shows that parts of the projects may be very practical, such as installing a new deadbolt, but upgrading appearances is a bigger motivator. As a result, new lighting and landscaping are the most popular updates. Learn more about HIRI and homeowners’ front entrance improvements at hiri.org.

The average price of a front entrance improvement project: $2,849
