Major Retailers to Compete With Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days

As Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days approach on Oct. 6-7, 2026, other major retailers are meeting their match with their own sales on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ace Hardware announced Ace Rewards Days, where Ace Rewards members can save 15% on sitewide orders of $49 or more, while earning twice the points on all purchases on Oct. 6-7. Shoppers can also take advantage of limited-time savings across nearly all categories.

“Ace Rewards Days is one more way we deliver on our promise to be the helpful place, bringing our neighbors meaningful savings on the trusted brands they rely on,” says Kim Lefko, chief marketing officer of Ace Hardware. “Whether they’re tackling a project, preparing for the season or simply stocking up, we want every customer to leave feeling like they got more from their local Ace.”

Target is set to host Target Circle Deal Days from Oct. 6-7, offering 40% off deals for members.

Walmart is launching various new fall deals from Oct. 5-11, including deals like up to 40% off home upgrades, up to 25% off tools and up to 30% off Halloween items.

Amazon plans to reinstate “Today’s Big Deals” on Prime Big Deal Days this year, with drops three times daily at up to 55% or more off. “Today’s Big Deals” was introduced during the retail giant’s Prime Days in June 2025.
