Home Hardware Again Honored With ‘Canada’s Best Managed Companies’ Award

Home Hardware Stores Limited was once again named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.

The title is one Home Hardware has retained since first receiving the distinction in 2012. Canada’s Best Managed Companies is the country’s leading business awards program that recognizes excellence in Canadian-owned and -managed companies. The award was established in 1993 by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post and Queen’s School of Business. The award is presented to businesses that embrace innovation, adapt to challenges and invest in their employees.

Home Hardware has grown from 122 independent hardware dealer-owners in 1964 to Canada’s largest independent home improvement retailer. Close to 1,100 Home Hardware stores serve Canadians across the country and bring in more than $5.8 billion in annual retail sales.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies,” says Terry Davis, CEO of Home Hardware. “This designation reflects our core mission of helping our dedicated dealer-owners grow their businesses so they can provide the quality products and helpful service their customers are looking for.”

The awards were presented at Canada’s Best Managed Companies Gala on April 12 in Toronto.
