Home Hardware Celebrates 50th Anniversary at Spring Market

Home Hardware Stores Limited played host to thousands of dealer-owners, store employees, vendors and business partners from across Canada at its Spring Market, held April 6-8 in St. Jacobs, Ontario, where the company celebrated its 50th year in business.

At the Market, dealer-owners and store employees had the opportunity to explore the latest product information and demonstrations, trends and technology in home improvement retailing and attend diverse seminars and presentations.

President and CEO Paul Straus and Executive Vice President and COO Terry Davis also presented a 50th anniversary message.

“Home Hardware Stores Limited was founded 50 years ago on the belief that the best people to provide a community with superior service and quality products are those living within it,” said Paul Straus, President and CEO of Home Hardware Stores Limited. “Fifty years later this principle still holds true and guides us forward into the next 50 years of serving communities with new stores, new ideas, new products and new services.”

Home Hardware Stores Limited also announced Orillia Home Hardware Building Centre as the Walter J. Hachborn Store of the Year at its semi-annual Shareholders’ Meeting during the Spring Market.

Hachborn Store of the Year Award during Home Hardware’s biannual Market in St. Jacobs, Ontario. Presenting the award on behalf of Home Hardware Stores Limited are Walter Hachborn, President Emeritus (CR), Paul Straus, President and CEO (R) and Terry Davis, Executive VP and COO (L).
