Top 10 Holiday-Quarter Revenue Earners Include Home Depot, Lowe’s

Home Depot and Lowe’s are projected to be among the top 10 holiday-quarter revenue earners, according to analysis by USA Today.

Analysts based predictions on data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and project that 10 retailers will take 66.7 percent of all holiday-quarter revenue reported on the S&P 1500. And annually, 27 percent of all retail revenue comes from the fourth quarter.

Home Depot is projected to take 3.8 percent for the quarter, and Lowe’s is projected to take 2.7 percent.

Home Depot recently reported higher-than-expected third-quarter earnings, while Lowe’s reported third-quarter earnings that were lower than expected.

Also included in the projected top 10 holiday-quarter revenue earners are Target at 3.7 percent, Amazon at 7.9 percent and Walmart, which is projected to take 23 percent of the total.
