The Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI) recently released its Canadian Size of the Home Improvement Products Market Forecast for April 2026, detailing estimates and forecasts of the market for home improvement products in Canada.
HIRI outlook for April affirms March’s real GDP growth prediction of 1.3% in 2026.
The total Canadian home improvement market is expected to remain around 3% to 4% growth for the foreseeable future. HIRI estimates that total home improvement product sales will increase by 3.1% this year, with consumer market sales growth of 4.1% and professional market sales growth of 1.8%.
