Hardware retailers were among store chains making a point to keep their businesses closed on Thanksgiving this year.
Home Depot and Ace Hardware both announced via social media that their stores would be closed on the holiday.
Home Depot asked its Twitter followers to “Take time to enjoy food, family and friends.” Ace Hardware made this statement on Facebook: “We understand Thanksgiving Day is becoming an increasingly big ‘retail day’ — but some things are just more important than money.”
