Do it Best to Host Virtual Fall Market

Do it Best Corp. announced its plans to reformat its upcoming fall market into a virtual event. This special market, featuring the best buying opportunities of the year from the nation’s top vendors, will be available exclusively online from Sept. 13-18.

“Out of an abundance of caution and in light of the considerable uncertainty caused by the pandemic, we have made the decision to move forward with a virtual format for our fall buying market,” says Dan Starr, Do it Best president and CEO. “The safety of our member-owners, vendors and staff is of the utmost importance. With the thousands of market attendees traveling from all over the world, it’s simply not possible to maintain appropriate social distancing and implement other necessary safety protocols in a convention center setting. By announcing our move now to a virtual fall market format, it ensures our Do it Best team, along with our vendor partners, has the time necessary to launch an exceptional online market experience for our members in mid-September.”

The virtual market will offer outstanding buying opportunities, including the popular Sneak Peek and specials tied to the company’s 75th anniversary. The online event will also feature strategic buying presentations from Do it Best lumber, building materials and merchandising experts as well as educational training sessions from industry veterans.

“Our spring and fall markets have been must-attend events for our members,” says Starr. “There’s no better way to see the very best of Do it Best than at our markets. While we’ll miss seeing everyone in person this fall, we’re confident our members won’t miss a beat with the virtual version of our market. By moving online, we expect even more members will be able to virtually attend and lock in the great savings available.”

The next Do it Best spring market is planned for May 14-17, 2021 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
