Do it Best Evaluates New Products During Open Buying Day

Do it Best Corp. hosted an Open Buying Day event on Nov. 30, welcoming prospective domestic and international vendors to its Fort Wayne, Indiana, headquarters.

The event enabled Do it Best merchandise managers to meet one-on-one with prospective vendors interested in doing business with Do it Best and its retailers. The products presented as part of Open Buying Day came from a wide variety of categories.

“Discovering new vendors and products is an important part of our goal in helping our members grow and achieve their dreams,” says Steve Markley, vice president of merchandising for Do it Best Corp. “Our Open Buying Day event provides an excellent venue for our merchandising team to meet with potential new vendors, learn more about their offerings and explore innovative product opportunities for our members.”

The Open Buying Day was held in partnership with the Presidents Council, which is an organization devoted to the development of the home improvement and home building industries.

“We have built great vendor partnerships through past Open Buying Days, and we expect similar results from this year’s event,” Markley says.
