Builders Lumber & Hardware Hosts Inaugural EGGfest

Builders Lumber & Hardware in Shelbyville, Indiana, held its inaugural Smokin’ The Ville EGGfest, which brought together grilling enthusiasts to explore the versatility of the Big Green Egg, while also raising funds for the Shelbyville Central Schools Therapy Service Dog Campaign.

Attendees at EGGfest were treated to live cooking demonstrations featuring a wide array of dishes, including seafood and desserts, all prepared on the Big Green Egg. Guests had the opportunity to vote for their favorite dishes, with the top cooking team earning a $100 Builders gift card. The Big Green Egg RV was on-site and local radio personalities Denny Smith and Pat Sullivan, from 93.1 WIBC, entertained the crowd with a live remote broadcast.

Customers also enjoyed special promotions, including double Best Rewards loyalty points on purchases and a buy one get one free offer on Best Look® Paint. Attendees also had the chance to pick up a fall merchandise book and enter a drawing for a $500 shopping spree. One lucky attendee won a Big Green Egg Mini Max as part of the event’s prize giveaway.

“We’re thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout for our first EGGfest,” says Builders Lumber & Hardware owner Brian Baker. “This event not only showcased the versatility of the Big Green Egg but also helped raise funds for a great cause in our community. We look forward to making EGGfest a beloved annual tradition.”
