Bold and Neutral Shades for Kitchen Cabinets

With kitchen remodeling and redesign remaining a popular trend in recent years, adding color to kitchen cabinets is a desired choice for many homeowners.

According to Benjamin Moore’s Color Trends 2025 collection, dark colors that provide striking contrast, bold statement colors and soft, soothing neutrals are all trending this year for kitchen remodels.

Hardware Retailing recommends these paints for your customers looking to add color in their kitchen.

Dark Hues

Espresso Macchiato from Dunn-Edwards is a deep brown with slight red undertones. The shade pairs well with whites and light, neutral greens for a dramatic contrast in any kitchen.

For a striking statement shade, Dragon’s Breath from Benjamin Moore is a dark grey-brown that will serve as a focal point in the kitchen when painted on cabinets.

Bold Statement Shades

Benjamin Moore’s Rosepine is a deep forest green with hints of grey to add depth to any kitchen space. This shade pairs well with off-whites and light blues, according to Benjamin Moore.

Hague Blue from Farrow & Ball is a dark blue with green undertones. This shade responds well to light, with different lighting scenarios bringing out different undertones in the shade.

Classic Whites

Vanilla Shake from Dunn-Edwards is a soft, milky white, offering a hint of warmth for an inviting feel. This shade is described as providing a sense of calm, ideal for a neutral kitchen.

Jolie Paint’s Antique White is a neutral off-white, pairing well with warmer complimentary colors in other areas of a kitchen.
