During the recession, in an effort to quickly and easily provide customers with what they wanted and stay ahead of the competition, the staff at Main Street Lumber and Millwork in Denison, Texas, developed a mobile software application to do door and trim work and provide customers with instant graphic estimates.
The application, Mobile Visual Pro (MVP), also provides the ability to do ordering from the field on other products, including lumber and hardware.
The MVP application allows field salespeople to easily email graphic bids to their customers and to upload orders instantly to the office for processing and dispatching.
“What makes MVP unique is the way it was developed,” say co-owner Chuck Pool. “It was created in the field by millwork salespeople to make it quick and easy to walk a house and put together an estimate. It streamlines the entire quoting and ordering process, which increases sales, cuts expenses and puts more money in the bottom line.”
