Ace Retail Group recently raised over $165,000 and delivered 8,400 fans to communities they are a part of during their annual Fan Drive.
The Fan Drive began in 2012 and has been a way for Ace Retail Group to support its stores’ surrounding communities. 210 stores participate in the drive nationwide.
Earlier this summer, customers at participating Ace Hardware stores could round up their purchases to support the drive. All customer proceeds went directly to supporting the drive and purchasing box fans. The Ace Retail Group also donated additional fans to support this year’s effort.
The fans are sent to local Salvation Armies to be distributed to Ace Retail Group’s communities. They provide fans to seniors, low-income families and others in the communities that are in need.
“The Fan Drive continues to demonstrate the generosity of our customers and the commitment our stores have to serving their communities, especially at a time when many families are being thoughtful about their own budgets,” says vice president of stores Jeremy Van Ommeren. “Through our partnership with The Salvation Army, we’re able to turn small donations into meaningful assistance for local families, and we’re proud to continue supporting our neighbors through this effort.”
