Boise Cascade Reports $1.5 Billion in Q1 Sales

Boise Cascade Company recently released its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, reporting losses from Q1 of last year due to volatile economic conditions impacting the beginning of 2026.

Net income was reported at $17.8 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2026, a 56% decrease from Q1 of 2o25. Net sales decreased 2% year over year in the first quarter, reported at $1.5 billion. Adjusted EBITDA in Q1 was reported at $66.5 million, down 27% from the first quarter of 2025.

In the building materials distribution segment, net income saw a 32% decrease in the first quarter and net income in the wood product segment was reported at $8.5 million, down 52% from Q1 2025.

Single-family housing starts, the key demand driver for Boise Cascade Company’s sales, decreased 5% in the first quarter.

The company also released financial guidance for the second quarter of 2026, anticipating total company adjusted EBITDA to reach $83 to $115 million. In the building materials distribution segment, EBITDA is expected to reach $65 to $80 million and the wood products segment is expected to see EBITDA of $32 to $47 million.
