Multiple companies that have significant stakes in the independent home improvement industry made the Time magazine World’s Best Companies of 2024 list, being named alongside some of the largest, most influential companies across the globe.
The list is a comprehensive analysis that takes three aspects of a company into account: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency.
Ace Hardware, which is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, was 860th on the list, with an overall score of 80.61. It ranked 903 for its sustainability transparency and 137 for its employee satisfaction. The co-op also received a moderate revenue growth rating.
Ace Hardware has opened 100 stores since the beginning of the year and plans to open more than 200 by the end of the year.
Home Depot ranked 266th on the list, with an overall score of 89.54. It received a 266 transparency rating and ranked 23rd in employee satisfaction while also receiving a moderate revenue growth rating.
