Bringing together the community, Eagle Hardware Farm and Ranch celebrated 15 years in business over the weekend with three days of fun events and activities. Thursday evening kicked off the festivities with a ribbon cutting and customer appreciation dinner of hot dogs, snacks and cookies.
Store manager Bethany Guevara says the events were a reminder of what is most important—the community—and how the store and the community rely on each other. She is grateful to co-manage with her husband Ivan and work with her father and store owner, Shawn Risinger, who echoed the same sentiments.
“It’s all about being a part of the community. Be it Day 1 or 15 years later, I’ve always said that we’ll be fine if we stay a part of the community. That’s what we’ve tried to do, and it has paid off,” Risinger says. “We’re not home Home Depot, we’re not Lowe’s and we don’t try to be Tractor Supply. We just try to take care of the people that have graced us by walking in and then keep coming back.”
On Friday, customers received 15% off everything they could fit in a 5-gallon bucket. The store also sold limited-edition anniversary t-shirts featuring store pup Sarge, says Guevara.
On Saturday, the community block party included food trucks, a bounce house, face painting, music and giveaways. Customers could also have a chance to win one of three gift baskets. Every customer who purchased an anniversary t-shirt or an item from the gift section received a raffle ticket, and they were also available to purchase for $1 a piece.
“We could definitely tell that the community showed up, you could look around and see that people weren’t there just to shop, but to enjoy time with their neighbors,” Guevara says. “It meant the world to my family to celebrate 15 years in the community. The fact that we have stuck it out, and even flourished through COVID, and have plans to grow and improve over the next fear years is just incredible. It really was an amazing weekend.”
