Ace Hardware Corporation hired Karen Fedyszyn as Vice President of Information Technology (IT) and Chief Information Officer. Reporting to Ace’s Chief Financial Officer, Fedyszyn will help the company drive strategic technology and systems management for Ace to shape business functions and deliver return on investments.
Fedyszyn spent the last 14 years as an executive leader at HSBC, the second largest bank in the world. She most recently served as senior vice president of IT for HSBC’s U.S. group (U.S. CIO level), after serving as executive vice president and global head of delivery (global CIO level) while living in Hong Kong. Fedyszyn also spent time in London as senior vice president and global head of data centers and chief technology officer. Prior to HSBC she spent six years with Monsanto after spending four years with IBM. Fedyszyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of South Florida. She also holds certifications from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management’s Directors Development Program in business administration and management as well as the Cranfield University (United Kingdom) HSBC Executive Management Programme in organizational leadership and business administration. “Karen is an accomplished global information technology leader who brings a wealth of systems management and experience from some of the most highly regulated industries,” says Bill Guzik, executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief risk officer, Ace Hardware Corporation. “Karen is a proven leader in the field of information systems, directing teams of more than 1,000 and managing multibillion dollar budgets.”
