Small Business Rising Organizes Letter in Support of the Amazon Monopoly Harms Lawsuit

Several independent retail organizations, including the North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA), have signed a letter organized by the Small Business Rising coalition and independent business associations in support of the Amazon Monopoly Harms lawsuit.

In 2023, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and 17 states sued Amazon for monopoly harms impacting small businesses ability to compete and for harms to consumers by raising prices across the internet. The case is currently scheduled for trial in March 2027. The letter, which you can read in its entirety here, is open to independent businesses and allied organizations that support small business or fair markets.

Small Business Rising is a coalition founded by the Institute for Local Self-Reliance of more than 40 different independent business associations collectively fighting for fair markets so small businesses can serve their communities.
