Northern Tool + Equipment is expanding its Midwest presence by opening two stores in Indianapolis.
The new stores will each employ roughly 20 people and provide brand name tools and equipment for pros and DIYers alike. They will also offer a complete parts, service and repair department.
Wade Mattson, vice president of sales and marketing for the company, says expanding in Indianapolis is a natural fit for the company.
“Indianapolis is a perfect market for our business given the city’s size, its vibrant Midwest economy and its strong concentration of our core customers of both homeowners and business owners,” Mattson says. “We are very excited to open our doors in Indianapolis to help our customers get serious jobs done.”
The Minnesota-based, family-owned company was attracted to Indianapolis because of the five interstate highway corridors that converge on the city and its larger-than-average distribution and warehousing sector.
Northern Tool + Equipment has been a supplier of high quality tools and equipment for more than 35 years, selling products through the Internet, direct mail, and at more than 100 stores in 22 states.
