Orgill Wins Community Impact Award

Orgill, Inc. is one of 15 winners of Trade & Industry Development’s 12th Annual Corporate Investment and Community Impact (CiCi) Awards.

The awards program celebrates companies and projects that improve communities, revitalize environments and provide jobs.

Wholesale distributor Orgill was honored with the Community Impact award nationally for its decision to expand distribution facilities in Post Falls, Idaho, according to a press release from the City of Post Falls.

The efforts of community leaders, local economic development authorities, state officials and decisive leadership at each company influenced Orgill’s location decision.

“We are excited about this expansion to our distribution network and look forward to the enhanced efficiencies this will create for our customers as we move forward,” says Ron Beal, Orgill’s chairman, president and CEO. “There were many positive things that lead us to select Post Falls as the home for our newest distribution center including the excellent workforce in the area, the assistance and cooperation of local officials and the quality of the facility itself.  We look forward to being a good corporate citizen of Post Falls, Kootenai County and the state of Idaho.”

Post Falls city mayor Ron Jacobson says the city was thrilled to find a single user for the large facility and is excited to welcome the wholesale distributor to the community.

“Orgill is creating over 130 jobs [in Post Falls, Idaho] and promises to be an active and supportive member of the community,” Jacobson says.

Orgill’s new 500,000-square-foot distribution center will be the company’s seventh full-serve distribution center, and will bring more than 130 new jobs to Post Falls. The new distribution center will provide quicker, more efficient service to Orgill customers, servicing retailers in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Canadian customers in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
