The SmartCord® Safety Cord monitors and senses excessive heat in outlets and plugs caused by overloading, poor connections and improper use. When excessive heat is detected, an audible alarm sounds and a warning light is illuminated, alerting users to possible problems. The cord is available in 6-inch and 12-inch lengths and alerts are included on both ends of the cord. It has a self-test button on each end of the cord as well.
