State of Retailing Online Report Reveals New Data

Change is inevitable and while for retailers, change can be exciting, nailing the basics like search engine optimization and e-mail marketing can be overwhelming. But Shop.org’s recent The State of Retailing Online 2014 Report shows why its more important that ever.

Among the reports finding, on average, retailers are seeing nearly 30 percent average year-over-year growth in online sales. But with devices of every size, changes from Google in search and e-mail, and customers shopping across devices (and expecting personalization on all of them), executing on the basics takes more than it used to. Still, the report revealed that search and e-mail remain the two most successful marketing tools in a retailer’s toolbox.
