Regional hardware distributor House-Hasson Hardware has made some leadership changes.
The company named Jason Monroe merchandising manager for the company and promoted Ray Bradley to product manager. House-Hasson also named Connie Brooks product manager for warehouses in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Prichard, West Virginia.
Monroe assumes the role previously held by Allen Winn, who was with House-Hasson for 32 years before he died June 5.
Don Hasson, president of House-Hasson Hardware, says Monroe is well prepared to assume the responsibility for running the merchandise operation for the 109-year-old company, which serves dealers in 17 states and the Caribbean Basin.
“Jason is experienced, effective, and he has readied himself well for this role,” Hasson says. “Everything flows from the merchandise that goes from us, to our dealers, and to their customers. We’re confident Jason will do an excellent job in managing the merchandising side of that process.”
Monroe joined House-Hasson 10 years ago as a hardware purchasing agent with a focus on builders’ hardware and farm and fence goods. In 2009, he transitioned to power tools, power tool accessories, hand tools and lawn and garden.
“Coming here was an opportunity to work in an industry I felt close to,” Monroe says. “House-Hasson is a giant in the hardware industry and it’s a privilege to be with this company, in this role, in service to our dealers and their customers.”
Bradley’s role as product manager makes him responsible for managing, buying and negotiating programs with some 165 power tool and lawn and garden vendors.
Bradley has been with House-Hasson for more than five years. Before joining House-Hasson, he worked for 15 years in product distribution with Wallace Hardware in Morristown, Tennessee.
Brooks’ role as product manager for House-Hasson’s Knoxville and Prichard warehouses will include purchasing automotive; outdoor living; fans and air conditioners; and candy & snack items. She also purchases paint & electrical products for the Prichard warehouse.
An employee of House-Hasson for nearly 20 years, Brooks started in the receiving department and then spent 10 years in accounting. In 2006, she became a buying assistant in House-Hasson’s lawn and garden products section.
